Hip-hop stars react to TV reality star becoming president of the Free World

The unimaginable has happened.

After months of believing that Donald Trump would never lead the Free World, the reality tv star turned politician has successfully won over the majority of American voters. As polls closed all across America, Trump managed to surpass the needed 270 electoral votes with a total of 276 to become president-elect of the United States while former first lady and forty-year politician Hillary Clinton only managed 218 electoral votes.

Though known for making controversial statements throughout the election that heavily divided the country, Trump called for a united America in his winning speech:

“Now it’s time for America to bind the wounds of division. We have to get together. To all Republicans and Democrats and Independents across this nation, I say it is time for us to come together as one united people. It’s time. I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be President for all Americans and this is so important to me.”

Like many of us, the Hip-hop community had a lot to say about the reality star’s shocking presidential win against the more experienced Hillary Clinton.
